It was in 2015 that the KU Leuven, together with Spanish and Italian colleages, suggested to launch a European alliance to support second victim and related research. In 2019 the idea became real and the European Research Network on Second & Third Victims was launched as a COST ACTION. The chairman of the Action is Dr. José Mira supported by his international team.
